I live in pennsylvania and you live in michigan, i wish you lived closer. Thats cool you went to a yard and saw a 81 LUV. Yea I am diffently in need of a longbed that is in good shape. Was the truck you saw a gas or diesel and was it 2wd or 4wd? If you ever go back to the yard just bring a tape resure to resure the bed. I've gone to a few local junkyards near where I live and have found some of my trucks but most are shortbeds. It sucks!

Well I made them out of 1/8 smoked plexi. At the time all the kits they sold just velcroed onto the front trim ring of the bezel. I wanted the chrome ring to be seen around the headlights so I made patterns out of card board and then traced them onto the plexi. I found this metal that can be bent several times without breaking and made clips that hold the covers in place that screw into the inside of the bezel. I tried to make them velcro but couldn't figure out a way. With these clips, I just bend up the 2 top ones to remove the covers. I wanted them permanent but cant see a thing at night with them on!!

thanks tilted- ya know what im thinkin is to go back to that yard and get a second set of bezels that i can glue the plexi on and put them on for shows and such and switch them for when i drive it around town.

i got the decal yesterday and will take some pics of my truck at the show im hopefully gonna go to this weekend and get em to you guys-

luvdiesel- i think that it is a longbox- i am not too sure though- however i do know it is 4wd and pretty sure its gas- have to check though, has a tan interior, and very intact because there isnt another one around that needs parts :P - i'll try and get some pics to ya and give ya the name and loation of the yard if ya want it-

thanks to all of ya and have a good one

well i went to the show this weekend and there were 4 trucks entered in my categorie- origanal truck and 4x4- the one was a 64 gmc longbox with a 327 under the scooped hood- very original eh, well he got first in the categorie and a guy with a very nice model AA ford truck i think it was a 37 got second. i was pisssed about the 64 gmc and while cruising through town on my way home i got a civil infracion for doing 40 in a 30. i gotta call the state on tues and see what to do. the cop was a total ass hole too- this was my first time geting pulled over. my friend back into a minivan and he only got a warning. so the luv and i are sunk for a while - i did get the pics and will hopefully get em to ya as soon as they develop.
