I just went out and looked at mine.

I have two wires coming from the distributor. One is black, and one is black with an orange stripe. It may have been red in the past, and now it's faded, but it looks like an orange stripe today.

Nevertheless, the black one goes to the negative side of the coil, and the one with the stripe goes to the positive side of the coil.

Is this what you are asking?
