Hey Guys,

The other day my steering wheel locked in my '90 pup and i had to spend nearly ten minutes jiggling the wheel trying to turn the key before i finally got it to release. Since then, my steering wheel locks every time i get out of the car, and usually makes me fight with it to get it to release. Is something broken? Is this a common problem? Does anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

I would just pull the wheel off and look around in there. Maybe a spring jumped out of the mechanism or something. If it's broken, maybe you just remove the locking mechanism.

i had the same issue in a fiero i had in highschool. i just took the little pin that sticks into one of the holes on the locking plate out and never worried again. also it had the lock to the auto trany via cable so i unhooked that too :D
