Is the tire industry phasing out 14" tires? Im needing to replace my rear tires to pass state inspection. I've been looking around the Internet and i cant find any major companies selling 265/60R14 tires.

I just got back from hitting most of the tire dealers in the area and i found a place that can locate a pair for me. I messed up inittialy with the tire size. I'm needing a pair of P245/60R14s. So i kinda lucked out. But im going to have to upgrade soon because 14s are slowly being phased out. Factory sized tires will still be around for a while but performance sized tires have gone towards the bigger rim sizes.
I've already did some homework on getting replacement rims for the future.

They're on order and they should get here next Tuesday. It's gonna cost me 185.00. I need this to pass inspection.

My plan is to buy new 15" rims before these tires go bad (which may not be long because i can smoke the crap out of them). The 14s i got on the rear of the truck have a 5 X 4.5 pattern and im thinking they'll fit my cargo trailer. I can go with a smaller 14" tire size and have cool wheels on the trailer.
