I am new to this site . I am building a 79 luv for strip use only ,I am in the process of backhalfing the truck. I am looking for information on how to get 5 lug pattern on front. Are there any trucks out there that are 5 lug that will work on the luv spindles or am I stuck buying the conversion kit from Aerospace Components. Thanks for any help

I have five lug adapters and I'm talking to machine shops to find the cost of reproducing them. Luvondope tells me that adapters are not legal for racing NHRA or other sanctioned dragstrips. Don't know exactly what the rule is, but I'm going to find out. Also early 70's Toyota spindles are supposed to fit and I think they are a Ford pattern but have never used them.

I had my redrilled at Art Morrison. But the last I heard they stopped doin it. As far as legal I have had no problems racin. They did a good job welded all six holes solid and redrilled the pattern i wanted and supplied the studs.

Moser stopped doing it too. Maybe there wasn't enough in it to make it profitable. There is nothing wrong with the adapters. They used to sell them back in the seventies when the trucks were new. I had them on my truck back then and never had, or heard of, any problems.

i used 94 Toyota pickup rotors on myLUV and they are a Ford bolt pattern 5x4.5
I had to have a machine shop build spacer rings to get the bearings to fit (couldn't find any bearings ti cross over) other then that they bolt on, and the good part is there vented making them about half the wieght of the stock ones. 8)
