AAARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!!!

Can someone smarter than me PLEASE tell me how to get the two back bottom nuts off my 1.8's intake????????

There is a heater hose ( :?: ) "T" right in the way that goes up into the intake, and I can't get any tools by them.... What's the secret?????

If I hadn't a' run out of day light, I'da pulled the freakin' head off, and got at'em like that...... Last resort?

Thanks.

I took mine off a couple of weeks ago. The biggest challenge I had was getting by the EGR valve. I took it off, and everything went a lot smoother. There are only two bolts that hold it on. Almost everything is 12mm down around there.

All it requires is a 12mm combination end wrench, and a couple of extra elbows in your mid forearm. You could also probably get at them with a socket and a couple of ujoint adapters.

Pulling the EGR valve is a help in more ways than one. First it gets it out of the way a bit (still have the hard line over to the exhaust manifold holding it sort of in place) and second it is already loose once you get the manifold free so you can pull the intake right out, leaving that hard line in place.

That's funny right there. Sadly, it's true also.

Thanks for your help guy's. Removing the EGR helped with one of the nuts. However, I almost killed someone over the last nut....... I decided that I needed a short 12mm wrench to get to it, lacking one I cut one in half only to discover some smartass had replaced the factory nut WITH A 13mm REPLACEMENT ONE!!!!!!!!! :smt021 :smt075 :smt062

ROBBLE, ROBBLE, ROBBLE..........

All I had to do was place a deep walled 13mm socket on my socket wrench, and Vola! The intake slid right off......

Thanks again,

KT-
