:?: I am thinking about buying a 72 Luv with a 350 motor and 350 trans. It has a 308 s10 rear end now. What model s10 has a positrac so I can switch?

:? Check into the 82 up Camaro/Firebird as they have the same rear as the s10 and alot of them had posi's that can be had pretty cheap. 8)

If you are going to change out the whole thing, late model S-10 Blazers, Bravados, and a few S-10 trucks. Your local salvage yard will have an interchange book and can tell you the exact rear end you need. On most you will have to install leaf spring brackets. I think you will be better served if you buy a posi unit and have it installed. That way you can replace bearings seals and whatever else you need. You'll know what you have, and not have to guess about how much wear a newer unit has.

:? I guess we need to know if you want a posi carrier or complete rear asy.Carrier is cheaper ,but requires more work to do correctly than installing a complete asy.
