Ok iv asked about the mustang 2 conversion before. But then i had to buy it, but now a few buddies that race foxes just bought a parts car and said i can have any suspensions parts i want off it..

So since its free is it worth going to or are coil overs still the best bet. The way the truck is being built we are hoping to break into 9s maybe around 700 hp range. turboed 400 sbc on duall stage nitrous set up so far

thought about doing a mustangII conversion on mine when i built it years ago but some friends said it would not be worth the trouble. WRONG :x I have done some checking and found that some of the street rod MustangII cross members are a very close fit one that i can't remember only needed two 1/16" spacer plates to fit, if i decide to build another LUV i will use a MustangII/Pinto front asy. I already have a 78 Pinto rack for the steering in my trk. Measure your frame at center for the front and call the street rod guys and you are in buisness. Heres to being different and following your gute. 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

i would grab that front end.. they are strong and you can get parts for them easily.

dont mess with the stock front end. it will take u into the 9's and probably beyond and best of all... its already there. the stock piece works very well if you know how to set one up and unless you can find some major flaw with it like its bent at a right angle from one drunken night out, dont mess with something that aint broke.

now an early chevy II thats another story, I would toss that in the dumpster for a stang II front end any day.

there really isnt much to a stock front end so i cant imagine any weight advantage from a stang front end either.

If all you want is a r&P setup you can put that on a stock front end from what I have seen
