Some knucklehead before me ripped off all the padding and vinyl from the dash. I thought it was suppose to look like that until I started looking around. haha

Is it much of an issue to rip that old one out and put another one in?

Getting a replacement dash that isn't wasted is the problem. If you were to find a decent dash, it would suffer damage being removed from the original truck. Dash Restorations had been in the process of making a replacement dash but they may have dropped the concept. You'll need to search the site to find info on the topic. If they plan to proceed with it, the cost is going to be in the 450.00 range.
Apparently the previous owner had a mess on his hands with a badly cracked and weathered dash and elected to remove all of the padding. It's a very common problem with LUV trucks.
Maybe a custom dash is the way to go.

Good info, thanks.

I was toying with the idea of getting a universal 'race' dash made from fiberglass. Vibrant makes a Honda Civic replica dash that I've sene put in custom vehicles a few times.

That might be interesting....

52" wide, 21" high, 17" deep.... I'll have to do some measuring to see how close it is.

Ebay has them for $57.95. Seller is Aautomotive. http://www.1aautomotive.com
There is no item number, but I've seen posts about them here before.

1aautomotive is offering dash caps for the LUV. It only covers the top surface of the dash, not the face. I have a dash cap on my truck with some spot repairs to the face of the dash. They do the job quite well and mine has held up for at least 5 years now.

Yeah, I saw those caps and didnt really understand what they did.

Just the top isnt much help... Well, that'd probably better than the random piece of blue carpet the cut and put there. haha It looks so bad now.

Dash Restorations still makes them. I think I paid around 450-500 for it. They are in Australia, I did like the fit and it was easy to install. I think it took me a hour or two.

Somebody wanted to how the dash cap works. It goes on the top of the dash where the vinyl usually cracks. It does not cover the front of the dash. If you put the pad in place it gives you a line that you can trim, if you want to keep your stock vinyl on the face. The stock Isuzu dash covers come with the pad and the front covered with vinyl. You cut out for the glove box, radio, gauges and ash tray.

Shipping UPS is just about $450 yikes
I am waiting for them to get them in stock
I would go halves with someone on shipping 2 together for about the same price.

To supply you a Chev Luv dash the cost would be $400 AUD, but you will have to take care of the freight from your end.

The measurements are 1400mm x 360mm x 360mm. Weight 5kg
