Has any one figured out any new ways to convert the front wheels to a 5 lug bolt pattern yet? I cant find anyone in my area to redrill my hubs. I really dont want to buy an aerospace kit either.

i looked into this. The vega conversion seem to work good. There is a toyota conversion, but it requires alot of machine work. I gave up and bought 6 bolt fronts and 5 lug rears.

i bought gm corvette style rally wheels from summit racing so lugs are covered with center cap. the only time the caps won't be on is at the track.

Hey Hotrod did you get the the 6 lug truck wheels for the front and the 5 lugs for the back? I was thinking about doing that but I couldnt tell in the pictures that summit shows if the wheels are the same minus the bolt pattern. The other reason I was seriously considering changing the front to 5 lug is the Rear end I have that I am thinking about using is pretty wide but Weld wheels has a wheel with a funky offset that will allow it to work but the catch is they dont make the same wheel in a 6 lug for the front that will match.

Yea thats what I did the manufacture is wheel vintiques. I had to call them direct and get the part #'s and then call summit to order by part #. Summits price was cheaper the the manufacturers retail price. Go figure. Anyway the offer the rear in up to 5" back space and will make anything you want. My back wheels are dual pattern, both ford and chevy, they call these the hotrod line. The front are what they call a pre-71' truck rallye wheel both take the same cap. I don't have tires mounted or the centers in yet but I'll put picks up soon.

 I used Toyota rotors of a 94 p/up all i had to do was have my machine shop build spacer rings then we heated them installed them on the spindles then bolted the rotors on. I needed to use 1 head bolt washer off a 2.2 Chysler engine( thats what i had that worked at the time) 1 for each bolt and i was driving in no time. They ar a ford bolt pattern to.Of course i drilled mine for d-gassing and to lighten them even more.

I have a set of these rotors with all the bearings, washers, nut and dust caps if anyone is interested. I paid $80 for the set.
