To the fenders that is, while I am on hold for my suspension I figured I would start on some of my body modifications...

Heres the start:

You ought to be able to run some pretty big tires now!

I assume you are going to mount your straight axle forward of the stock tire position some. There is a fair bit more you can trim off the fenders behind the tire there than you have. On my 79 with lifted stock suspension I cut back to about mid way between the two lower bolts that hold the fender on. You could get a lot more room back there than you've got.

Thanks I will think about that. that is only the start, when I mount the D60 and get the tires on I will trim some more.

Well if you forward mount the D60 some you can improve the approach angle and improve the u-joint angles too, so whatever works. It just sort of struck me that you went to extremes chopping on the front side, but didn't really seem to go so far behind the tire. :) The more I look at it though, the more I realize you chopped a whole lot of metal out all around.

Yeah I did take off quite a bit, like I said I will do some finish trimming when I mount the axles, I am using a coil spring set up for a jeep so I will have a major amount of flex so I am sure i will need to clean some things up, I still have to modify the front side right next to the headlights to give it a little cleaner look, seeing as it is all out off road and will never see the road again ( legally that is ) so i can chop alot.
