Is there a company that sells a cowl induction, steel hood for a 66 Impala?
I looked on the internet and i found some that linked to ebay but i haven't seen a specific company that makes them.

Have you tried Goodmark???? I didnt see them listed on thier site but it is worth a shot calling them, they make them for Camaro's Chevelle's and Nova's. I have one on my S10, my suburban and my dad and brother both have one too, the best out there.

That's the first place i went to. I'm thinking that they dont exsist because of the ridge that runs down the center of the stock Impala hood. Fitting an aftermarket cowl induction scoop could be done but some finesse will be needed to deal with the ridge.

Im looking for a new project and i have a line on an Impala. I want a cowl induction hood on whatever i get but im not totally "gung ho" on swinging a deal.

Try this place. I've never looked at the site before so i dont know if they sell exact impala replica hoods but they do advertise steel cowl hoods in the back of Super Chevy magazine.

I declined on buying the Impala. It was close, but no cigar at this time...

Not only do they sell a cowl induction hood for the Luv, they have complete cowl induction hoods for Chevelles. I think they are fiberglas, so lighter, save a little on gas, plus you can keep your stock hood for if you ever want to put it back on. again. I've never heard of anyone making cowl induction steel hoods. A metal fabricator could do it if you really want metal.
