Can I get some pics posted of the original rims and their respective center caps?
Thanx!

What year? Most came with basic steel wheels, no center caps just a plain hub cap that covered just the middle part of the wheel. A larger chrome hubcap was also available for most years that went out to the edge of the wheel.

4x4s came with a plain white spoke wheel, and an optional center cap. I believe the same wheels could be ordered with center caps on 2WDs too.

There was also a special version with spoke wheels with heart shaped cut outs. Not all that common though.

Yeah that is a good suggestion. Look through the galleries on the main site here and you should find several examples. On the base model hub caps there were a few minor changes across the years but they are all pretty much the same. If I get some time I'll try to dig out the few base model hub caps I have around, assuming I can find them.

Roadshow Bob,
I looked at that truck, and I did go thru the images posted on the site.
That truck is hard to make out the center caps.
I bought 2 over the weekend I think are LUV caps, they are mint!
I was thinking of looking for the rims that match these caps...
Were the original rims with these center caps slotted in the center piece of the rim, kind like a Corvette rally rim?

800xl...
I would really like to see those caps...
rims anyone?

Those are nice...
The center caps I picked up over the weekend are painted white and have a GOLD/Yellow BowTie with a white base paint; they arent a full hubcap like these!

Here is one I found with a typical looking stock wheel without any cover on it:

http://www.luvtruck.com/Gallery/EthneCr ... index.html

It isn't the best picture, but it should get you some idea. The cover on the front wheel is the most common stock chrome type. That style hooks against the outer edge of the rim, so they would fit most all 14 inch steel wheels. The base model style that fit over just the middle of the wheel would be more specific to the right wheel I'd think.

I hope to get some time, but its not looking good this week. If I do find some time I can get you some pics of both standard stock rims and whatever wheel covers I can find.

Here is another stock rim minus hub caps. It is hard to see, but note the three little nubs that stick out in the ridge around the lug nuts. Its hard to see, but they are at about 12, 4, and 8 o'clock positions around the rim.

Would the 72-76 caps appear different than the aluminum one I see here?

if you check this brochure..http://www.luvtruck.com/pdf/79Dlr-Brochure.pdf ... you can see the later style full wheel covers and on page three is a decent shot of the small hubcaps

Aluminum one you see where? If you mean in one of those pictures I posted, its chromed steel. I don't have my parts manual with me to tell you the exact year, but the deluxe hub caps are a little different on the older trucks.

Roadshow Bob's flyer has them!
That's the rims/caps I am looking for!
The Blue 79 shortbed on page 3, and the stake bed on page 8 has them.

The 2 caps I found at the swap meet are those!
So, I am looking for those rims and 2 more center caps...

I probably have a dozen of the wheels around, having 9 LUVs they tend to collect up. I don't know how many of them I could part with though, I like to keep all my parts trucks at least a little mobile. Much easier to tow them around with rubber under them.

I know I have a few of the hub caps, but I have not seen them in a good long time. They are probably stuck in the one parts truck I have tucked way down in the woods. If I get off work early enough tonight I'll go look.
