 Post subject: gas milage in luvs.

whats the best milage you guys get in your luvs. i always get from 15-20 mpgs. is their anything i can do to the motor to get better? the motor is bone stock.

I got 31 before the weber went on, that was on highway going nice and easy just too see how good I could get.

with my built up 1.8L i get about 19mpg in town and if i cruise at 60 ill get 24 on the highway. If i go up to 65 or faster then ill get 20.

Not a whole lot, just make sure you keep it tuned up, and that all 4 tires have the same amount of air pressure. right about 32psi. Other then that the only way to get better gas mileage would be to not drive it :lol:

I get low to mid 20's in both of mine in town with the stock Hitachi's both rebuilt by me! I've got a 79 longbed and an 80 shortbed. Both have 4-speed's. Can't do much better than that without a 5-speed!
