Well my truck died today, no clue what the hell is wrong with it, I'm going to take a look at it tommorow, I'm hoping i didn't blow the head, because if thats the case I think i'm just going to stick another engine in it, for all i know it could be the coil, disty, or God knows what else. I'll keep y'all updated.

Well so far I've checked the ignition system as best I could (not much considering i left all of my tools back at home, 250 miles away!!, I know, I know I'm a bloody idiot!!!!!) I'm going to be taking it to a local shop down the road from school and have them take a looky at it, hopefully what they find isn't too bad, I'd do it my self but school is taking up alot of my time, and the lack of tools. I'll have my tool back hopefully some time next week, but until then I'm screwed(thank God I've got a nice bike!! :D )
Well I'll keep y'all updated on what all the shop finds.

Haven't taken it in yet, calling the shop first thing tommorow morning. I've decided that if indeed the head is blown I'm going to go ahead and do some upgrades while it's off. sent an e-mail to Delta about a torque cam, and am currently searching for a Weber. Going to get a MSD coil, new plug wires(8mm) NKG plugs, and try to find a electric dizzy off a later Pup or Trooper. Hell I maight even spring for Pacesetter header too.

Well I'll update after I'm done talking with the shop.

Larger dia. core, allows electricity to flow through easier and faster.

Well I started taking stuff apart on the engine today, got most of the junk off the head, just need to yank it and have it sent to the machine shop for pressure checking/milling/repair(threaded the #3 spark plug hole putting new plugs in :? )
Going to be sending the cam to Delta to have them do they're good deed, and I'll be picking up a Weber here soon too.

Forgot to mention, did a compression checkand the results are:
#1 111 psi
#2 90 psi
#3 90 psi
#4 112 psi

so in other words i've more than likely blew the head between the #2 and 3 cylinders. Whole deal is kinda pissing me off, considering i redid the head back in May, guess i didn't do it right of something. Oh well guees there isn't anything i can do about it now, just sick of my truck being fubar'd.

Yanked the head today, finally had time to do it, been so freakin busy with school and stuff. pooped the head off and found that the #4 cyclinder was full antifreeze, kida wierd because i don't remeber there being any antifreeze in that cyclinder when i did the comp check. looked at the gasket and there were no obvious signs of failure, although when i started loosening up the head bolts I found that all but the two closest to the firewall were extreamly easy to undo, kinda like they had become undone while driving, I guess i didn't torq them enough(even though when i went back to retorq after i did the head the first time I torqed them to spec) Oh and to add to the fun the fruitloops over at AutoZone gave me the wrong head gasket kit, they gave me one for an early Impulse, reason i could tell is because the kit included the gaskets for the upper and lower intake manifolds, but no regular intake manifold gaskets, that and it had the gasket for the mechanicle fuel pump(that could be for the g200 in the pup and Trooper, not sure) everything else was the same, headgasket was the right one and so were the exhuast manifold gaskets. Any way I should have my truck up and running some time tomorrow, so fun fun my Luv will be back on the road

some gaskets require a retorque. After you put a few hundred miles on the new gasket retorque em to be shure. I wouldnt want to use locktite on head bolts either...

Well got it all back together today, didn't get a chance to start it though, I'll have to wait til tomorrow to do that due to a dead battery, But I should have it tearing up the road again tomorrow, just need to add some coolant, get the oil changed, and do the timing, after that I'm all good!!!! WOOHOOO
