i got this truck this way ok i have a 75 luv it has a newer 1.8 in it is that the right motor or not 2nd (Q) is the dip stick the same in the older one as the newer one are they the same size ok here is the problem i'm having with the dip stick. it reads 2to 3 quart's over oh and spits oil all over da motor at hi r.p.ms and if i put the oil on the full line it ratals and clangs bangs you get the idea can some one get pics of the 2 dip sticks please help :cry: :x

ok the top dip is the 76/80 motor and the bottom is the 72/75 motor these are some on the nos that i had here so i hope this helps.

ok that is what i was looking for who ever put this motor in my luv put the old dip stick in the newer motor so i am going to get a new one thank's alot

ok i got new dip stick and now the oil lite stays off that is funny and with the old dip it was over 2 or so quarts now with the new and right one it was 3 Q low ouch big time but all is good no damage :cry: :oops: :D

If you are ever in question to the amount of oil in the motor, drain it all out. It should hold 5qts with a new oil filter.
