My son David is in a band and has went on a two week tour. You can check them out at http://www.myspace.com/longlivelogos . He plays bass and does some vocals. different venue every night for two weeks. Starting in Tuscon, AZ and working their way up to Portland, OR, and then back to San Diego

Been there done that. Not to bad when you are young but it getd old quick. The band i was with played country and western swing. I think we played every joint in north Texas. Even met Elvis when he was just starting that type of thing. My god that was a long time ago.

In those days country was Hank williams, Ernie tubb etc. western was Bob wills, Sons of the Pioneers etc. Very different stuff.

I did the same thing. Played bass and sang mostly backup. Didn't meet Elvis, but ZZ Top came and watched us play. The bass player Dusty has one of his monster vacation homes about a mile from my shack, and I've seen Billy Gibbons on Build or Bust and Car Crazy. He is supposed to have quite a car collection.
