Well I'm gona be getting some parts to fix the Luv sometime this week, one of them is going to be a new coil, question is what should i go with? I was thinking of just getting your standard MSD Blaster coil, something in the 42,000v range, some Accel wires and either Delco, or NGK plugs. On the coil what do I need to look for? will any old coil hook up and work right?

I dont buy those MSD or Accel coils. Honestly you can get the exact same thing for half the price going the OE rout. Right now im running an 84 Trooper G200 coil. Anyway its rated at 45K or something like that. It ran me $15 from Napa...

sounds good, i just want to give the ingnition system a little bit of an upgrade, so don't waste the money on a $40+ coil, gotcha

Alot of that stuff is a gimick just like multi electrode plugs. A bigger diameter cable will give you less resistance and thus hotter spark from the dizzy. But an ignition system will only use the voltage it needs from the coil. So if you only need 30Kv and you have a 60Kv coil, your only using half the coils capacity and you kinda just wasted your cash...

I don't use multi electrod plugs, just the standard Bosch platinums, I was going to use a bigger wire set though, going with a Accel custom 8.8mm set, or some other company's 8.8mm set If I can get them
