Ok, you know when you press on the gas there's a little flap on the carb that opens up to let air in. Well on my truck that thing doesn't open and close with the gas. It was just staying wide open and it ran like crap so I wired it half way open for now. I figure it's something tiny like a spring or something but I have no idea where it connects to and things like that. So I'm looking for help, if it is a spring, do you guys know where it connects to. I have looked but I can't find a straight path for a spring or something....

If it's the very top "flap", it's the choke and the spring is in a round "thingy" on the side of the carb near the top. The black cover comes off the round "thingy" & a coil spring is inside.

Sounds like a bad or out of adjustment choke thermostat to me.

Check your cable on the manual choke. Choke may be pulled back if staying open. Check springs.
Check the control arm on electronic choke. could be missing pin to hold arm for choke.
