Alrighty so i have been entertaining the idea of selling my 64. Well the reason for this was im looking at getting an 82 LUV diesel. But im realy torn on this. I can only realy have one daily driver (that will always be the 80 LUV) and then one project/ fun truck. So i have been thinking on this alot. The 82 Isuzu is $1500 and will easilly get high30s for millage. Then theres the 64, if i put that $1500 into it i will have a perfect truck that might get 20s for millage. In my opinion they both have equal cool factor. If i get the LUV then ill probly still need to put more money into it becouse it will be needing a front axle rebuild soon (they usually need that at about 200K miles), so i might end up being into it $3000 before i know it. Combine that with the fact that then i would have 2 mini trucks niether more able to tow stuff than the other is realy making me think twice about getting this 82 LUV. Im kinda starting to doubt wether not 15mpg more than my current DD is worth giving up on a real classic truck. I dont know guys, im so confused...

I'm probably not the best person to advise you about selling a Ford. I'd trade that 64 for a diesel LUV/PUP pretty quick.

I agree with 800xl. The fuel mileage is definitely an advantage when you drive a 4WD of that size. Are you still buying the LUV 4x4 diesel or did you already?

thats what i am debating. But my 64 Ford still gets 20mpg, and that was logged in traffic whith 3,000lbs in the bed. I highly doubt a luv would even handle 3K lbs much less still get good millage while hauling it.
