Is anyone else running/planning on running an SM465 transmission (granny 4-speed)?

I was just curious. I was readin' Hooker v8 swap instructions, and the muncie 4 speed (sm465) works with the hooker trans mount bracket :-D

well there a problem about what you said. the muncie tranny that the hooker kit instructions is talkin about is the 2wd one, like a m20 m21 and m22. those are side operated trannies that have the linkage on the sides. the sm465 is a top loader tranny that is a whole hell of alot bigger than a muncie.

but that is besides the point. you can use any tranny with the hooker mounts. you just need to make a homade tranny/TC mount that will correspond with the motor mounts.

if those mounts will hold a th350 or th400 then they will hold the muncie sm465 too. Thats the beuty of older chevs, the interchangeability is rediculouse.
