I got an side draft intake today and the total with shipping was $71 not bad I think. so other parts about that size and weight should be $31 to ship or around that if anyone wants to know

i talked to the guy at all-jap today..... got info.....stuff to do when i get home now.

the t-case bolt pattern didn't line up as well as the headbolts. so no dice on the head and case conversion.

i'll be on the beach for the next week now the rain stopped. so i can't get anymore info (my wife'll kill me if i spend drunk week looking for parts).

i do have 15 pages of notes that i'll decifer after i get home on the 18th so if i didn't answer some questions i'll be able to then.

i had some drunken idiot being loud last night while we were out for thai, talking about the miranda act and you're involved rights(incorrectly) so i went over and rattled them off properly and stressed the fact that he had the right to remane silent

i have 50 "sideways" stickers coming home with me. i'll post info on how to get one in "classified "when i get home.

i'm home...... i got tagged for the stickers in customs.......(they valued them at a whopping $25 each....bastards......) so i left the airport and mailed em to myself.......

the stickers will be here in about a week......... i'll still make the post on "classified" as soon as they get here.

damn.....Jet lag sucks..........get up at 6:00am and fly 15hrs over the dateline (7 hrs difference......minus a day) and don't sleep on the flight and you'll feel like i do......

to top it all off i got home and the cops busted my door in while i was gone.......

i guess my landlord's chicken ranch is a cockfighting ranch..........and the dumb shits broke my door down and scattered everything i own all over the house (after a whole year of survealance) and then left my house unlocked for 3days.............welcome home

I took a peek at these motors as well, did you guys see the 9 second Gemini on that website, hangs the front wheels over the 60' mark too? I guess they are pulling 700-800 hp outta these little boat anchors down under. As cool as it seems, you guys got any idea what you would have to soak into one of these to make them run? Im trying to figure that out myself just for giggles, im always looking to try something new, but I can guess it will cost at least 3 times the cost to build a bruiser big block/small block setup. Then there are reliability issues im sure putting that much boost into them. Keep us posted on what you find for sure. Would be cool to see someone with some major cash build a trick nine second 2.0L luv truck, but plan on blowing at least 10 grand just on the motor lol.

Warning !!!

The dohc version is a "completely different engine block". The starter is on the other side. The tranny from a sohc WILL NOT FIT. I know this because I am in the process of "making one fit". I am cutting and welding my *** off to make my old tranny fit. Don't even think of getting one without the matching tranny unless you are crazy like me.

Yes. I am the one who bought that engine. Spent $300 on shipping.

It really is in GREAT condition. It came with dual side drafts, a high volume oil pan, a custom header that matches up to my exaust perfectly (what a miracle),and a starter.
It's been raining so much I can't get to finish welding my tranny back together.
I'll let you all know how it went (when I finally get to it).
