I have not compared pricing, but http://www.jcwhitney.com has carpet kits for LUVs, I think you can also get a fitted vinyl mat too. It helps if you back either with some of that foil lined batting for noise and heat suppression.

I just go to the carpet store and buy a very cheap remnant and put it in myself - much cheaper than prefab plus I think it looks better.

Not really - just watch the pattern and nap of the carpet. Really cheap carpet will be a pain in the rear so look for high quality, fairly thick nap. A remant as small as our Luv will not set you back. I think I usually pay around $40 here in Atlanta. If you pick out the right carpet, it'll be a piece of cake. Just take your time and play with it and it should work.

Good luck - I'll be doing mine soon if all goes well this weekend with getting the new 350 to fire up in my 80 luv. I'm even going to put the carpet on the back and sides of the cab behind the seats. If you run into a hump, just cut, splice and glue it down - that's why it's important to watch pattern and nap so in case you do have to splice, it won't be noticeable.

when i got my datsun, it was carpeted with that cheap carpet stuff from walmart. it looked really good. they just cut the pieces to fit and used aresol glue to stick it down.

codys gonna be doin his truck the same way, so you might get ahold of me and you could take a look at his if ya wanted to.
