Does anyone know if the 1.8 engine in the later model luvs was available in any other vehicle with fuel injection? i.e. spectrum or trooper, opel??

The Non-turbo Impulses up to 87 had a FI 1.9 G200 motor. Same basic block/head but with FI intake on it. The 1.8 G180 wasn't used much past the LUV years, maybe up to 83 or 84 Isuzu pickups. After that the G200 1.9L took its place. Parts are mostly cross compatible though.

I don't recall if Isuzu I-Marks or anything but the Impulse had one in fuel injected form though. Opel and Vauxhaul stuff I don't know much about, and the Aussie Gemini stuff I think was mostly carb'd too. Isuzu pickups and troopers were all carb motors until 1987 or later, but then it was the newer 4Zx1 motor family and the parts would not bolt up as cleanly. (but still might work)

thanks for the info! Hoping if the 1.9 is the same basic block the motor mounts off the 1.8 will work. THanks again for your reply.

The 1.9 is a direct bolt in, it will even bolt up to your tranny

the G160 G180 and G200 are all the same block and everything. They just run diferent bores. As far as I-Marks, They were carbed too. And since the I-mark is the same as the Aussie Gemini they would be too. The only FI engines in the I-Marks are the front driver DHOC(4xe1) and front drive turbo(4xc1t).
