I realy hate to say this but i dont know how this will happen anymore. It seems like every time i turn around something has gone bad on my 80. So i have to turn to the 79 for the parts. And now all the door handles and window cranks the tail lights now and soon some rear suspension parts i fear will need transfering. It looks like all my chasis parts and alot of body parts are going bad. So i dont know what to do. Becouse as it stands right now ill have to find all that stuff over again and the only way i see is by getting another 4x4 LUV, but i dont have the room. The only real solution to this i see is to say oh well to the caddy swap and keep the 79 just for parts as i had originally intended. What should i do!? :?

Keep working on the caddy project, and hope the other truck stops breaking! Go junkyard shopping for the new parts for the caddy buildup. After you fix the other truck each time.

hmmmm. i think you need to put the caddy motor in something more odd. like a chevette or a vega/monza. i know everyone would love to see a caddy v8 in luv, but sometimes things just dont work out.

something more odd than a LUV? Hell I see Vega's and Monza's and Chevette's all the time, but I've only seen one LUV in person in my life. Hell I thought my friend was pulling a joke on me when he said he got one from his cousin. I was like "WTF is a LUV? Are you sure its not a S10?"

well chevettes, vegas and monzas arent very numerous here in the northwest. theyve either been crushed or are all rusted up.

but on another note, MEPR, you should see if you can find a gremlin to put the caddy motor in. gremlins are cool 8)

Hey MEPR,
I am really slow moving on my 80 4x4 project, and would actually like to have more time/space to get my boat(s) up and running before spring.
So, if you need anything off of my 80, just let me know.
I would rather see someone use the truck other than just letting it sit my driveway!! 8O
Make me an offer, either on the whole truck or just the parts you need.
If you need my phone number again, just send me a pm.

Steve
