Yeah it'll work. You gotta have an adapter plate for it though. Those are good carbs. Real nice and clean looking. I had one on my ol' Toyota with a 22R. They are loud little suckers though.

I think the adapter plate for at least some Datsuns is the same as the one for a LUV. You might luck out if you got the plate with it.

On my old Toyota I did notice a little bit of increased power. But not only that there is only one vacuum line and thats to the distributor. It looks so much cleaner and eaiser to work on compared to that Asian carb, with a thousand vacuum lines, I had.

ok i know now that the32/36 dgav is liquid choke. But do you have to hook that up and if so can i just plug it off. I live in the deep south hardly ever use choke. doesnt get cold enough really.

you could plumb it up so that it works right, tying it in with near by hearter hoses, or you could just yank off the water choke part so that all you have is the choke connecting rod thingy, and then just put a manual choke on it.

The DGV is the series designation. The DGEV is electric choke , DGAV is air choke. Thats the only diference, as far as performance for those guys youll notice some more.
