I recently pulled the fuel tank out to flush it out and modify it to run larger lines to feed a bigger motor. I removed the nylon braided connector hose from the filler neck and promptly destroyed it. Is it possible to get a stock replacement or does anyone have a line on a suitable replacement? I'd hate to use a piece radiator hose but i'll do it to drive again.

good luck finding a new replacement. I'd be somewhat concerned about using a radiator hose though. i think gas might turn it to jello. a junk yard replacement or large hydraulic hose may work in this application.

I recently found that NAPA sells generic filler hose by the foot. It goes for about 12 bucks. Summit sells some clear stuff with their filler/fuel cell kits. So 12 dollars sounds like a easy fix. When i get some, i'll post the part#.

I hit NAPA today and tried to get some filler hose. It turns out that they can only get it in 3 ft sections. Thats 36 bucks for filler hose. And i only need 5 inches of the stuff. Im going to look for something else.

I located some vinyl reinforced tubing on the internet. It's compatible for automotive and marine applications (NSF rated) and Home Depot was supposed to have the stuff up to 2" dia but they only had 1,1/2". 1.3/4" is the magic number. Tomorrow i'll check with the local Cat tractor co.

The NAPA part # is NBH 1035. I lucked out and found a store that had a 5" section that will work fine. Good luck to those who will have to pull a tank in the future.

Your NAPA store is jerking you around. I've purchased short pieces of fuel filler hose 4 different times from 2 different NAPA's, just purchased twice in the last 3 months. Your NAPA just prefers to stick you for a fatter sale.

I'd take my old one down to a wrecing yard and try to match one up
