I've decided to write a tut. on putting in bucket seats into your 81-82 LUV Pup wutever your doing. This tut. is using a 82 Luv and early 90's corrolla bucket seats.

Step 1:
Locate bolts that hold seat in, remove bolts and extract seat(s)

(don't ask about the smoke bombs... lol)

I also had to remove a broken bolt in the front driver's side, very easy to remove.

Step 2:
Place seat in position you would want it. Preferably nearest to the holes of the old seat.

Step 3:
Using hardware from removal of the old seat and proper bolts-nuts-washers that you should buy, install your seat.

You could have called - I would have been happy to drop everything I was doing with putting the engine in my truck and come down and help. Sheesh!

Wow, I need to update this, and thank's for offering to help but they're in and they feel great, now it's a LUV Sport. BTW I was looking though a parts book for my truck over at T.L.Chevy and the Sport stripe kit is orderable but I didn't look up the prices or anything.

I'll put some new pictures up tommorrow probably, it's a little late and I need to work on the research paper part of my senior project, wanna help with that????

All Saturn seats in 1997 are interchangeable, but if you can find them, get the seats from an Sx2 (SL2, SW2, or SC2). They are more adjustable than the seats from an Sx1 (SL1, SW1, or SC1). The way to tell the difference in the car is Sx2 has colormatched bumpers (Sx1's have grey bumpers). Sx2's have DOHC engines (Sx1's have SOHC). And the Sx2's have a center reflector on the trunk lid.

What can I say? I drive a 1998 SL2 daily. :-) IIRC, the Sx2 seats have removable headrests, and the Sx1 seats do not...but i'm not for certain on that.
