Today was the first time I have ever driven my LUV when it was dark. I noticed a few things that I am curious about. One thing was I noticed all four head lights where on at the same time. Is this normal? One of the other things was the left side lights were barely lit up allmost like they werent even on. Im thinking that might be a bad ground but then again who knows. Another thing was the right hand turn signal indicator light stayed on even though the turn signal was off. Just curious about this stuff and need to know what to look for if these things arent normal.

Welcome to the wonderful world of the chevy luv electrical system!!! First off, if all four lights are on then 1st thing that comes to mind is, you have your high beams on. Now if that is not the case then it could be a number of others. 2nd, as far as the turn signal light being on, when you have your lights on, then you are having the same problem as me  Go through evrything and make sure that all your connections and clean and tight. Especially at the fuse box! Good luck!!

Normal would be 4 lights on when high beams are on, two outer lights on when low beams are on. Dimmer is forward/backward on the turn signal switch just in case. The turn indicator staying on could be a clue. If it does it all the time I'd suspect the flasher unit. If it only does that with the park lights or headlights on, then I'd check the front turn signals. You could have a short in one of them.

Dim lights on one side could be bad bulbs, shorted wires, or bad fuses. There is a fuse for each headlight bulb on the fuse block. Check those over and see if anything looks bad there. The headlamp fuses are the last four toward the rear in case you're missing the cover that has the labels.

It sounds to me like you have some flakey bulb socket connections, and/or a flakey turn signal/highbeam switch. If the truck has a lot of rewiring done then I would of course suspect that too.

Ok all 4 head lights are on with the dimmer in the low beam position so im thinking something weird is definatly going on. I havent really had anytime to check things out yet but it might be possible that my low beam lights are aimed up in the trees. I had my lights on the what ever setting they werent pointed up in the air when I noticed that all 4 headlights were on at the same time. Im allmost 100% positive that the flasher needs to be replaced since the turn signals flash like 3 times a minute. I havent checked any of the bulbs or fuses or any of the wire connections yet. Thanks for the fuse info about where the head light fuses are located some moron decided they were going to paint the truck and not use tape or paper to mask things off like the fuse box cover.
