Got the luv ideling today and I must say it's a BEAST  (it has 3 foot pipes for exhaust)I was suprized how easily all the wiring and other stuff converted over but I have some concerns. My first ? is can the stock harness handle the extra amps from the V8's Alt?I have a 60 amp but Iam worried Im going to burn it up.Another problem I am having is Iam using the stock coil and it gets pretty hot after I turn it off.I think it might not have enough windings but I'm not sure.I also just connected the main fuel line to the carb but I left the others disconnected so what do I do with them?About the engine it is a 400 small block with a holley intake and 750 carb with a weber metering plate. For a trans it is a '62 Borg Warner T-10 with a hydralic throwout bearing and a hurst indy shifter.

Here's a old pic after I got the motor in it.I'll post some new one's very soon...

nice job man.

ok, the gm alt wont burn up your stock wiring. so thats good. the other fuel lines can be either plugged off, or you can take the line out and plug where the lines were on the tank. if your using the stock fuel line, itll be ok to putt around with, but that 400 with suck that line dry FAST. so you might think about bigger fuel lines in the future.

mkay. yeah on both the swaps ive helped on, weve used blockhuggers. one of em use 2.5 for the whole exhaust and one used 2.5 for the 90* bend and then used 3in for the reast with flowmasters. look at "cody cannons" truck in the project gallery. i did alot of work on that one. look at "lee marchbanks" truck too. i did ALOT of work on that one and the new one that he built a month ago.

i like how that shifter is in your truck. right up close and personal!!

Carb should be fine, you should have a vac port on the carb, or run a line off the intake for the trani.

Ya mine has the same amount of plug ins but the only difference is that the two little wires that plug in are vertical not horizontal like yours.I only have one connector thats horizontal and thats the wire that goes to the battery.
