hey all, any idea where one would go to get a new windshield surround/gasket? I have a windshield I got from a wrecking yard and had to cut the rubber to get it out. At the time there were a few floating around ebay so I wasn't worried about it. Now there aren't and I have no idea where to go?
Should I try the auto glass shops in the area? my fear is that they will want to install new glass and not sell a gasket seperatly.

any ideas?

You can try Express Glass Inc.

http://gallery.bcentral.com/GID4773613D ... asket.aspx

I have never ordered anything from them and know nothing about the company, but it is an option. If you order from them, let me know how it goes.....if it works out, I may order one eventually as my windshield is cracked.

Good Luck

Uh-oh

Just saw that they are located in Houma, LA, which is south of New Orleans (or was south of N.O.).

Might be worth a shot anyway, who knows. May be an individual who packed up and left before the hurricane came through.

God Bless those poor folks from down there. They've been through a lot and still have a long way to go. Everybody keep them in your prayers.

I got one from them. They had them on ebay. You should be able to get one though a local auto glass place though. I went with Express because they came in cheaper including shipping than I could get locally.
BTW any auto glass place should be able to get the solid black rubber gasket and the one that takes the chrome locking strip, but not the locking strip itself, so if you have one with a strip don't damage it!
