i have a 1983 isuzu pup that has four wheel drive, i was wondering if it is possible to do the v8 conversion and still keep the four wheel drive. can i do this? is it possible?

it sure is passible you just miht have to have a special tranny to make more space under the car. but that's my 2 cents so. maybe someone smarter can help.

well as to the motor and tranny not getting in the way of the front diff...i dont know :( . BUT as to the transfer case being too low, you can index up quite a bit to get it off the ground. :) . go here and do a little research on it. http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/tech/xfer/tindex/

I'm shure you can... the main problem is going to be getting the transmission to clear the rear mount with the extra gearbox, and finding a transmission that is compatible with an engine that will fit and still have the front driveline on the correct side of the transmission. what you may want to look into is getting a gearbox that is seperate from the transmission, and running a chevrolet small block with a 2wd trans directly into a gearbox to split the power. I'm shure some of these off road places would know where to get something like that. the problem is I dont think they're cheap

Yes it is possible. A 4.3L is the same as a 350. The 208 from 84 blazer has the output on the right side.
