how did u guys go about moving ur fire wall back. i am thinking of doin a 350 swap and i heard u guys had to move the fire wall back. and how did u open up the tranny well? n e help i would gratlyappreciate it thanx

No need to move it with a small block.You might need to put a small dent if using a H.E.I. distributor. Aftermarket like MSD are smaller and should work.

I have about a 5" recess into the cab, and about 16" wide. Got a heating contractor to bend up a square box to rivet and "glue" into place. Looking back, it didnt need to be that big. I had to 86 the heating unit. dang floor heats up plenty with a v8 anyway. it is nice to have that area open back there to wrench on the tranny bellhousing bolts. plenty of clearance for the distributor.
