I am sending my truck in to get it worked on wednesday and was thinking about lowering the front end a little bit so they can do the alignment while it is in there. Just curious if there is a ratio like 2 turns equals 1/2 inch or something? And I also seen something on here about loosening the strut bars? Is this right and where would find this under there?

Thanks in advance

the strut bars go from the underneath of the lower control arms to the underneath of the first crossmember they have rubber bushings and dual knuts to loosen, the bar to frame torque is 15ft.lbs. the lock nut gets 50(got my factory shop manuals today!)I couldnt find anything on how many turns for how much height,I think I read it here once tho so you could try some searches, good luck!

Just do like I did, crank it down till it looks good!! (or right before it starts rubbing! ) I never loosened my strut bars when I did it 20 years ago! 8O But it couldnt hurt if you did.
