Those are a super rare model called the D.S.C.L. or Double Secret Camping Luv model. Yeah. In 79 the Luv factory slipped out a few models no one knew about with a campersell, carpit kit, alarm with door pins and stripes. You must have one of the only ones left! You should put it on E-Bay for $10 G's!

My dad worked at the Factory and was on the D.S.C.L task force/assembly team. He was the one that installed the left doorpins. They only made 25 of the D.S.C.L.'s so it was only a one day job. He is proud nonetheless!

Nope....that is why it's the "Double Secret" Camping Luv. `The C.C.L. or Conventional Camping Luv did have ID tags but you have to remove the engine, transmission, right front seat, and ashtray to get to it. I think they made about 10,000 C.C.L.'s. The C.C.L.'s have campersell and carpit kit but no strips or doorpins. Dude, where did you get that D.S.C.L.?

is there any way to take to VIN to gm and see if they have the records on your truck? or to see if it is infact the D.S.C.L. model

Has anyone heard of the Zinger model. I found a yellow LUV that had stripes down the side and a Bee on the side of the bed and it said Zinger. It was for sale for $500 in Washington.

I don't think that your truck is some sort of Special truck that only few were made, your's was just customized before you got it. Your neighbor probably just took the stuff from a mikado and put it in your truck but didn't want the emblems.

This guy is just jealous because HE doesn't have a Double Secret Camping Luv. If they could talk about it, The Task Force of the D.S.C.L. would tell you that it is a VERY special truck, but they all live under assumed names now for security. We saw one at a Chevy Truck show about 5 years ago that was pristine and when that left door opened and my Dad saw that doorpin, a tear came to his eye. That was proof enough for me mister!

truck sat for along time befor we got it ist not modevid

Still doesn't mean he couldnt've modded it before it sat, it's not hard to take a truck to a paint shop or upholtry shop and shell out a couple o' bucks to get a shell and carpeting for your car/truck after you just got it, your not thinkin' kid, besides the spellcheck button is your friend too. Also thought you were talking about putting oregano on the truck before I realize what the crap you were sayin' earlier.
