Wow!!! I just got home today and my son got our new dsl hooked up and running while I was away. It's like a new computer. I can't believe I waited around on that dial up for so long. It was like sitting in traffic in L.A. Now it's like a nascar race. 8) :D

LOL! Ya, I got my dad on DSL a couple months ago and his opinion was about the same as yours. He even complained about the bill until he used it for a couple days. I haven't heard a complaint since. :)

If you really want to be impressed with your comp. Use your DSL/cable for about a month and them find some one with Dial-Up and use that for about 3 sec. You will be asking your self how you survived with out DSL/Cable.

DSL isn't even offered where I live. And my dial-up connection is unusally slow, so I'm just screwed. Teaches patience tho

Wish I did have DSL or a xbox, one of my buddie's does but I dont know what his is. Fun game though, I recently started beating my friend in the game, and he owns it...

We don't have x box but my son has been playing midtown madness 2 online. He has been having a blast racing with other live people instead of just the computer.

i remeber having dial-up and trying to download songs from napster. it was quicker for me to drive 10 miles to my buddies house who had cable, download the songs and burn them to a disk and drive back. :P

I may have to end up losing cable and going to a dial up, if we end up buying the house I want out in the boonies :(

Not necessarily... If you end up getting satellite for tv, you can get dsl for a little bit more every month

*have checked into this because when i move up north (way out in the boonies), their top of the line cable has like 20 channels...... And no option of internet besides dial-up.... which sucks also because any number you dial is going to be long distance....
