my friend got his 383 SBC back for the engine builder today.
all i have to say is it looks great. i dont see very many clean motors. :lol:

he put the carb, headers, and valve covers on it for another beauty shot.

the desktop dyno said that it should make 450hp and 475 torque.
heres the specs

3970010 block
4.020 bore
3.75in stroke Eagle crank
5.7 inch forged rods
10:1 keith black forged pistons
compcams extreme energy xr288hr roller cam [288*int/294*exh .520 int lift/.540 exh lift]
compcams hydraulic roller lifters

No the kid is going to put it in a big ol' 71 Chevelle. I told him for that car it needs a big block and to put the strocker motor in a Luv just like his brother did.

True, the 572 has more HP and torque than that one, in the 600's even.

I came into work today and I saw Beau's Chevelle there. I guess he is getting his engine compartment sandblasted. He sure puts lots of money into that car. :lol:

i got some pictures of the chevelle that hes puttin it in. he got the engine bay blasted and hes almost done painting the frame.
