Welp, I just got poison ivy sun from running around in the woods sat., So i was sitting here itching like crazy then i thought... use the internet! So i looked up some stuff so I go up stairs get my feet in the tub, wet em' and start scrubbin' in Kosher salt and regular salt, it took the itch away, till I rinsed it off....OUCH!!! But i've been doing it every time the crap starts itchin. I don't even need calamine lotion and it doesn't itch or ooze the rest of the day, several large patches on my feet are already dried up and dissapering and i'm still workin on the smaller bumps.

So if ya'll ever get the urge to scratch just use salt, or bakin' soda and vinager which pulls out the oils and cleans the blisters.

Yes it will sting, but not as bad as if you cut your knuckle on something and acedentaly got carburator cleaner in it..... and it's a small price to pay to make poison ivy go away in less than a week.

sounds like a good idea. my friends boyfriend said that in basic training they used bleach. I however prefer carb cleaner, just pop open the blister and spray some of that in there. stings for a while, but dries it out purdy good.

Not a good idea, i know someone that did that on a blister... and it got in his bloodstream and spread thoughout his body, he was a puffed up mess.

i'll have to try the carb cleaner....
