just recently bought a 1980 luv 4x4,very good condition but the carb is a little messed up,when you start the truck it runs good,but when it starts to warm up the carb idels high,i have tried to adjust it but it does not help it any,
i was wondering if i could put an aftermarket carb like a holley or a weber,i you have any sugestions let me know please

Weber makes a couple of nice kits. There is the 32/36DGEV for stock to mild motors and there is the 38DGES if you've built up the motor a bit (cam, header). Check out http://www.redlineweber.com or http://www.carbs.net for more info and pricing. They typically won't pass smog testing though, so that may be a consideration for you.

thanks for the info,i live in mississippi and dont have to worry about the smog crap,i have removed most of the smog stuff on the truck any way,but thanks again and i will check out the web sites

if you do need smog stuff though i know that the 32/36 will pass just fine. And its the best mod i ever did.
