Its the one I am runnin my elect. fan off of. Is it just not grounded good enough or what, cuz after about 15 or 20 mnts, its pretty darn hot!!! Thanks T.

does the fan that its controlling pull alot of amps? my datsun had the same problem. the fan would pull like 30 amps and the swithc was only rated at like 15. it got hot and burned up. you might check that amprage rating for the switch.

You might want to put that on a relay rated for enough amps to run the fan and let the switch just control the relay. If it is getting hot then it is also dropping the amount of power heading to the fan by a bit too.

I don't know what the fan pulls. The fan is if I remeber right a 2400cfm, which was the biggest I could find at the time, so I am guessin it probably pullin alot of juice!

do what 800 says.
Run the fan off of a relay connected to the battery, and control the relay with the switch.
I will try to find the link to relays, so it will sound easier to you.

here is a link to the website when I changed my headlights to relays. There is also a link on that website that you can get some really cheap relays and relay holders.
