I do all the time. I miss my old car so much it hurts, it is after all where I met my wife and where we spent most of our first few months together. . .

Anyway, after it broke down, I sold it to some guy I know for $75. I mean, at the time I couldn't change my own oil and the fact that it was broke down was completely my fault. I over-heated it so many times I warped a head.

Anyway, he got a truck that he'd rather build-up than my car so he's letting me have it back, just to get it off his lawn. I'm gonna go pick it up tomorrow. I'm excited as all hell to try and get her back together and running again.

Anyone ever thought getting their first car back would be a dream-come-true. I sure hope so, now that I know enough to fix it.

I'll let ya know how it goes.

First car? More like first truck, I had a 82 (go figure) sierra K1500 with a inline six with glass-pack exhaust, it was quiet untill i revved it up really high , bbbbbrrrrruuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnn tuh tuh tuh tuh... I loved that sound, I line lock-ed the thing in gravel a few months ago at my ex-girlfriends place fish-tailing it with her in it and spinnin out, it had the smoothest power steering that's even better than my mom's 03 honda, her dad I sold it to gave me 1grand for it and he put swampers on the back tires but he busted the back winsheild with 2x4's he was haulin' and then when they got a brand-new one my Gf's cousin busted it out by throwin' a rock at it, I could've wooped his butt right then for doin' that.

cant kill a chevy straight six. its a known fact!! lol. my stepdads 74 nova has a 250, and im seroius, every lifter is sunk. it makes sooo much valvetrain noise but still it runs and gets him to where he needs to go. the damd thing wont rev over 3500 rpms!! its soo funny! i dont think the motor will ever not work.

Ive often thought about gettin my first back but am afraid of the condition it would be in. It was a 72 C-10. It had a 6 cyl, 3spd but was absolutely perfect. Everything looked new. I sold it to this old red neck dude who was drivin an old truck with exhaust stacks on the sides and those small running lights on every panel he could screw them on. So I could only imagine my old prestine show truck with stacks and whatever else he could put on it. I kick myself every time I see one of those old trucks somewhere for gettin rid of it. Sold it to move with my girlfreind(now wife). I hate it when I think with my d*** instead of my brain.

My wife is probably driving my first truck right now. 15 years after it was put together from the remains of two trucks, with a motor I expected would blow inside the first year or two, and the worst I've had to do to it was put another rearend under it. Everytime I run into the guy I got the motor from it blows his mind to hear that it still runs. I've thought of selling it a couple of times, but I've pretty much set my heart on fully restoring it. Sand down the rust, paint it a nice pretty blue, drop a 2.6L Isuzu motor in it with a turbo and a 5Spd...

I do miss my first 4x4 LUV though, and it is for sale again right now. Probably a good thing I don't have any money, as its not the truck it once was when I sold it.

i'm currently waiting on the money for my first car/truck 1977 Chevrolet Luv with a 1.9L Isuzu and a 5speed. highway tread rubbers on the front and all terrain XT's on the back. So when i did burnouts and doughnuts i never really "wore" my tires. So much torque that when i get a good burnout going it doesn't matter how i press the gas. after it wrms up the tires i don'e matter which way i turn the wheels it goes straight. who knows what my next car will be. i'm looking at a 1991 lumina euro 3.1L. that i helped rebuild. I'll give a promise to all of ya if i ever find another luv in better body condition than my first and i have the money it'll be in my garage. Bow down to the Luvs that are now sitting to rot (because the greedy bastards that own them want $1500). Let the LUV run through our veins forever and ever. Halaluya!!!

It's an '89 Crown Vic PI. Never lost a race in it until I blew the head gasket and the damn things got so much room in it that when me and my wife first met we could each sleep stretched out on each seat. . .comfortable as all hell and it handles like my brothers iroc.

I still have my first car... its been with me since 1986. the good ol LVSADRAG V8 LUV. Brodix headed roller 355 (then), notorious high school street racer terror. I'll never get rid of it. Since I bought this truck I've owned probably over 40 cars, many of them were pretty fast but I always end up coming back to the LUV. Damn Bitch Goddess LUV TRUCK!!!!
