That is awesome! I'm working on mine. I threw away a 13-gallon trash bag that was half-full of unnecessary wire from my truck after I fixed the ground in my parking lights the other day. I have so much more room under my dash, now, that it's ridiculous!

Ya, if memory serves, at least 1/2 the wires on the truck are for smog related crap.

One of my funnest LUV troubleshooting sessions was figuring out why my 79 suddenly began to stay running after the key was shut off. Turned out to be a combination of alternator wire shorting coasting richer valve shorting to the hot side of the transmission switch for the reverse lights. That one main bundle of wires has a lot of stuff to figure out.

These weren't smog. They were rigged running and signal lights. Everything now works off of the factory equipment again. The problem was that the main run going to the rear was pinched, and the insulation was melted with all the wires bare on the frame. Three days of troubleshooting and re-wiring, and correcting the start circuit is next.

Ben, I can't get over how great your interior looks, man.

800xl, when are we going to meet up? I'm looking forward to meeting you!

Ya, I have some TLC in the interior. I happened to get one of the last dash's from Chevy which is why mine isn't all cracked.

I should take a few more shots of the inside. I made lots of panels to cover some of the not-so-good looking areas down by your feet and behind the seats. I also have a lot of work into the stereo install. I'll have to snap a few more shots, maybe it'll give someone a few ideas about how to improve the interior above the stock look.

here you go ben i`ll give you something else to fix on your truck. another tech issue .the front of the traction bars is supposed to have a strap or u bolt over the top of the leaf spring to prevent the front of the traction bar from hitting the track. i guess what they are worried about is getting to much wrap up or i guess down would be better way to say it, if you suddenly back off the gas or have to brake hard to prevent the axle from twisting to far the other way. and causing an end over end flip when the bars dig in.since you don`t have anything better to do. he he later terry
