Actually it's LUVdiesel that has one, but i almost put one on my truck.

I just went to autozone and asked if they had any K&N filters for my truck, you won't find one under the Chevy LUV search but search for the Isuzu PUP K&N filter for the diesel, exact same motor and body just different emblems.(and FYI it'll cost you around $40 to get one)

If your talking about my ram-air idea for the diesel you'll need to just go to this post http://forums.luvtruck.com/viewtopic.php?t=7276&highlight=all you'll need is the intake tube from a 1.8l luv and some wire (like just a plain wire, not electrical stuff w/ insulation)

Correct I do run a K&N air filter in the factory location under the blue air cleaner housing. I forgot how much I paid for mine, but I bought it off EbayMotors. The K&N part number on the air filter for a LUV or PUP diesel is E-2760. Now a good thing to do is go to there website which is http://www.knfilters.com and look up a replacement air filter for your year and model truck. Most good auto parts stores will be able to order your K&N air filter if they do not have it in stock on their shelves. I know my local AutoZone does not carry the E-2760 in stock, but do have K&N air filters on the shelves next to other brands such as STP and Fram. And Finalman is right, do expect to pay $30-40 for the air filter. But since it's a K&N filter and is a proven part for performance I wouldn't hesistate to buy one at all. Let me know if you need anymore info or help.

Actually i'm running a fram (i've got about 3 more cause i bought them for my truck when K-mart was closin' stores).

But about K&N's website, i went there and there was a button that said submit a vehicle for a cold air intake kit or something like that, well i submitted a Chevy Luv diesel and i left my adress and e-mail so i could get info on it and get the first one, but i doubt that they'd make one since it's hard to getta' hold of a diesel luv or pup.

LUVdiesel, you said your air cleaner was blue? are you saying like a greenish blue (color of my air cleaner and my dad's) or a regular blue, if so then someone's painted your air cleaner b4 you owned that truck.

That's a good idea to submit this truck for a cold air intake. I hope they contact you back and maybe end up making one. That sure would be cool. And yes I do mean the air cleaner is a greenish-blue, but I just wasn't being exactly accurate. I've been under the hood on many LUV and PUP diesels before and know just about what everything does look like. As a matter of fact my LUV diesel still has the original paint on the air cleaner housing, like most do. I've only seen one that was different and that being a more blue style color. Also the truck was on EbayMotors if I recall.

Thanks for sayin' i was gonna paint mine w/ some dupli-color high-temp paint, it was gonna be deitroit diesel green but i think i'll use it somewhere else, i'm eventually gonna paint the lowered portion of the isuzu emblem on the motor high-temp black, but probably the same day i get my rocker panels painted black (of course the rocker panels will be regular paint, i won't be lighting up the front tires anytime soon... i hope.)

I went to NAPA and purchased a japanese knockoff and some large diameter radiator hose that puts the air cleaner (reusable w/K&N kit) on driver's side, right up near the grill, where the cold air flows -- very good for diesel's of course. I can post pics if anybody's curious.

Please do, but is that setup with your 1.8l diesel motor, cause our's are the 2.2l motors that came stock.
