A couple of weeks ago my brake pedal went all the way to the floor when I got home I looked and the back fluid reservoir was empty that is the one that serves the front brakes according to the service manual . I could see no evidence of leaks underneath. I put new brakes all around new calipers in the front and rebuilt the wheel cylinders in the back. Bled the system and the brakes were great for about and then the same thing happened again. The brake fluid in the reservoir was gone. the only thing system I get is when I sit at a light with my foot on the pedal I notice a little give in the brake pressure so can any body tell where the brake fluid in going if I can see no leaks underneath

Check the master cylinder itself. When they go they tend to leak around the joint between the master cylinder and the vacuum booster and run down onto the inner fender and firewall. If the paint is peeling in that area that is probably where it is going. If you've done both calipers and both wheel cylinders, the master cylinder is the only thing left really too leak besides a hose.

If the master cylinder is bad and the booster is bad, I think in theory it could leak into the booster and get sucked into the motor. That is about the only place I can imagine fluid just disappearing. Not sure how you might check for that, maybe pull those booster hose off the intake and see if it looks wet inside and smells of brake fluid? It would not hurt to check around under the dash near the pedal too.

just a quick question but wouldn't the brake fluid hurt the motor??? Since brake fluid is corrosive i would think it would do something to the insides of the cylinders or valves when the motor was off. Just a thought.

it could leak into the booster and just stay in the booster. once the booster is full enough it will be sucked in to the engine and burnt. I am sure after a LLLOOONNNGGG period of time it would cause some problems but not anything that a LUV or anyother engine cant handle.

No problem man.

Did you replace the booster?
Brake fluid could ruin it.
