well it rides again .sunday i finally got to take the luv for a run around the block. i had just enough stuff on it to do that i just got the brakes hooked up charged the battery enough to start it. the alternator isn`t hooked up yet. tossed in a few gallons of fuel. when i drove it most of everyone already had there superbowl parties in full swing. so needless to say all the neighborhood was out side playing b-ball mostly in the street. well i still don`t have mufflers on it yet, everyone was stopping in there tracks to look.i couldn`t help but laugh at there expressions. i must of set off at least 50 car alarms within 2 blocks. i finally got away from everyone got out on a major street to see how it felt. i got on it just enough to crack open the secondaries it fish tailed for about 150 feet. then i backed out of it headed for home. very happy hope to have it on the strip the middle of next month. after i get the rest of the little stuff takin care of. that was my super sunday. later terry

Those open header cruises are fun as hell. I drove mine like that for about the first week it was running. Drove it to work everyday, and giggled the whole time.

Until I got pulled over that is. Luckily I just happened to be going to the muffler shop and I had two mufflers in the bed of the truck. I convinced the cop of my story and he let me go. He said, "it's loud" about 6 times. LOL

I still love that sound though. When we were younger we'd get a wild hair on a Saturday afternoon and pull the mufflers off someone's car, then flog it around town until we felt like we used up all our "fun points".

thats awsome that your luv is running. I just have to wait 2 more years before i can drop my 327 in my luv (stupid emisions laws )

yea the good old e test i`m not sure how i`m gonna get past that yet. i`m still thinking about alcohol . it is on the list for an alternative fuel. i don`t know what i can get a way with on that stuff. two stripes on that burn out courtesy of a mini spool. later terry
