i'm in australia visiting the in-laws right now. when i get home i'll be confusing the heck out of the "name that car" players.

i'll be going to brizbane tommorrow to try to speak to DASHBOARD RESORATIONS and hopefully pick a couple up.(this not a guaranty)

for now though, if anybody needs lit. on gemini\luv engines it is readily available, as my wife's best friend is a gear head also. so if anybody needs info or aftermarket parts locations i'll be taking requests. just let me know and me and mic will see what we can dig up.

i'm currently trying to evaluate the possibilities of shipping a twin cam gemini engine stateside(i've seen a few already and they spec at 144hp/kw and 120ftlbs torque......factory) you can purchace one here for about au$600 ($475 american)

i spoke to jim at dashboard resorations today and he has one left hand drive(usa) dash left......he made me a considerably lower quote(if i came and picked one up) a year ago, but now wants au$445 (around $375 US)for the one he has left. so needless to say i won't be purchacing it. i have room in my board bag for it though so if anybody wants it i'll bring it home for cost + shipping from my house(would need to be payed in advance though as i don't have the cash to continue my vacation if i buy it).

Please forgive my ignorance on this, but is this a direct drop in? Any type of mods that need to be done? Can it be used in the 4x4's or is it designed only for the 2wd crowd?

Not a bad price, depending on what the shipping would be.

I'm with Bob, keep the info coming it's certainly got my interest peaked.

for some chatting with a few Aussie Gemi folks, these are a fairly close match. They look sweet as heck and are a great performance upgrade. You can check at hotgemini.com and search for the g200W

When I went to hotgemini.com it said that it has been hacked. So I was not able to look.

a g180w and g200w are still identical to our motors except for the twin cam head and timing case modifications(as far as i know).....i am also looking for the possibility of changing timing case and head over without needing a new block.....i'll let you know on this though.......unlikley but still possible.

the supplier for the engines here is a company called ALL-JAP. i havn't tried to look em up online yet as i'm currently learning how to surf.... :silly:

i've been on that site a couple times before and always wondered what that thing on the firewall is?? is that a heater box ? every car i've seen over there seems to have it there instead of being on the inside of the cab :?

it's mother's day and i've been drinking so pardon the spelling. :drinking:

i spoke to a shipping guy yesterday.... the prices are pretty bad if you're only doing one.....

the cost flat out is au$600(475-500us) though at that rate you can ship up to 1500lbs so at that weight you can ship up to 5 engines at a time.

don't despare though..... i am still looking into the head and t case mods and it's looking promising. my father is at my house taking a rubbing of my spare engine's t-case bolt pattern and i am in possession of a blown g200w at the moment (everybody thank mik....)........... i'll be comparing the two tommorow and let everybody know. at the shipping rate i figure that we could ship 15 heads, t-cases and t-kits over at the same price.

one the other hand there's a set of tuned headers over here that offers another 8% over pasesetter's design, it's a 3 to one scavenger design and i'll be posting info on this as soon as i have the dist info.

gotta go kids.....happy mother's day....
