ok, most dads teach their kids something like how to build a birdhouse......but i suck at working with wood. i work a lot better with metal. so we are building a hen and chicken flower planter out of a old hot water tank.

first make sure proper safety equipment is being used.

btw, yes the tank is galvanized but i made sure there was a good wind blowing to help keep the fumes away.

they had a blast helping me and did really good ....espeicaly after i showed them how dangerous a torch can be by instantly lighting a newspaper with it.
they cant wait for me to paint it and they can fill it with dirt and plant some flowers.

Larphead you [and thekids] rock! my son bails as soon as I start making sparks or using any tool thats loud, he doesnt mind surfboard fumes tho

I know the kids will appreciate it more in the future, but now they just found something you can tear stuff up with, and what is more fun than that???? :D
