2 piece as in having a slip yoke,or 2 piece having a carrier bearing attached to the frame and 2 pieces of shaft joining in the middle?

i don't think it's a major deal, in the toyota world where i have most of my familiarity, 1 piece shafts are more highly regarded since they have less parts and take less maintenance.
