What is gonna work better? 1/8" cork or high temp rtv? The caulking on mine started coming off like boogers.Anybody have any feedback one way or the other?

try useing a cork gasket, with a thin layer of rtv silicone on that, it should work pretty good, just don't overtighten those valve cover bolts.

After I got the gasket installed on the valve cover, I run a small bead of Permagasket #2 on the head side of the gasket just before I install the valve cover on the head. This seals up and leaves the gasket to act like a reverse coffer dam, keeping the engine oil from seeping out underneath the gasket.
