Anyone have a day/night mirror in thier LUV? I saw one in a 75 LUV and wondered if they were common or even an option? Mine doesn't have one and I would like to get one...

if you want one you can yank one off of a first generation Trooper, they mount the same so you can just plug it in, of course it won't be the same color as the one you have now.

I put one from an 86 Trooper in my 77 LUV. Once from an 84-86 would definitely fit, and I would be surprised if all 84-91 mirrors didn't fit right in. I had to use the trooper's mount plate because the LUV's was too tight to get the mirror to clip into (even though they look identical) but it fits just fine. I'm not very happy with it though, as it picks up too much of the ceiling and rear window when in night mode. It makes it harder to see what is behind you when you are looking at it through an image of the ceiling and dome light. On a trooper, there isn't as much in view for it to pick up, the ceiling is higher and the rear wall is much further away.
